Event design and production is a passion for Monique and she has been directing extraordinary events within her job and for friends and family for the past ten years. In 2009, after a very successful career in medical sales and management, she decided it was time to follow her passion and launched Monx Design House. Monique is able to express her creative side as well as continue using her sales and management skills to deliver flawless events for clients. Monique holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Samford University, is certified as an event designer by Preston Bailey’s Signature Wedding and Event Design, and is a certified International Event and Wedding Professional by the QC School of Event Planning.

In Monique’s personal life she is President of Northshore Women for Hope, active in her local community and volunteers on various committees as well as at the school her children attend. Monique enjoys coffee, chocolate, shoes, handbags, traveling and more, but most of all quality time with her sagacious husband and two spectacular children.

Katherine Bagshaw

Certified Event Planner & Designer

Established in the practice and discipline of Interior Design, Katherine welcomes event production challenges in any venue from large party tents and ballrooms to historic barns and backyards. She skillfully captures the essence of a client’s vision or an organization’s mission by developing fundraising strategies or crafting themed celebrations. Her experience in space planning and project management sets the tone for starting up a project, interjecting a spark of fun with custom party hats or unusual floral creations. She draws inspiration from her extensive Asian travels while living in Singapore and by observing cutting edge design trends. Katherine is currently following artist Ai Weiwei and historian Nancy Koehn. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from UMass Amherst, and is a Certified Event Planner.

Katherine lives with her husband, daughter and rambunctious yellow lab surrounded by acres of woods, gardens and conservation lands. She frequents museums, cultural happenings, hiking trails, and loves to travel, ski and plan adventures with her family and friends.

Julissa Jerez

Since childhood, Julissa has had an eye for creativity and planning. Her passion for event planning was ignited when she planned her entire wedding in 2 nights and handled all of the details leading up to the wedding day a year later. After her wedding, she realized that every bride needs an extra hand during the big day. Five years later, Julissa has successfully executed an array of events ranging from social gatherings such as weddings to corporate celebrations. Her most creative event was producing a musical written and performed by a local talent group. Julissa brings her passion for art into her work and a skilled eye for creating custom and personalized items for any event. Julissa is a Certified Event Planner from the International Institute of Event Management. She has a Bachelor of Art in Art Therapy from Emmanuel College in Boston. Julissa dedicates all of her work to her high school sweet heart and their two beautiful children.
